Privacy Policy

Who we are

Rio Apps by Rio Reply ("we", "us") makes the apps listed below. Rio Reply is based in Canada. This policy explains what each app and our servers collect, why, who helps us process it and how to delete it. Each app also has its own, more detailed policy, linked in its section; where they differ, the app's own policy is the more specific one. Questions or requests: info@rioreply.app.

How we handle data in every app

  • We collect only what an app needs to work, to keep it safe and, for free apps, to show ads.
  • We do not sell your personal information or share it for anyone else's advertising.
  • Accounts are optional unless an app says otherwise. You can delete your account in the app; see Delete your account and data.
  • Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google Play. We only learn what you bought and whether it is active, never your payment details.
  • Service providers (listed in each section) process data only on our behalf and only what their task needs.
  • Connections use HTTPS, and access to our servers is restricted.

Sign in with Google

RioStudio, RioSport Tennis: Live Scores, RioSport Football and RioTalk let you sign in with Google. We request only basic profile information (your Google account ID and, where the app uses them, your email address and name) to create and recognise your account; we do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or other Google data. Rio Apps' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use this information for advertising, do not sell it and do not let people read it except where you ask us to (for example in support), for security, or where the law requires it.

Ads

Free versions of some apps show ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data according to your choices and Google's policies: on iPhone your App Tracking Transparency choice, and in the EEA, UK and Switzerland Google's consent message, which you can change later in the app.

RioStudio

  • No account needed. A random install ID kept on your device links your videos, photos and credits; it is not tied to your name or email address.
  • Optional sign-in with Apple or Google: we store the provider user ID, your email address (or an Apple private relay address), your name if shared (only to suggest a creator name) and, for Apple, an encrypted refresh token so we can revoke the sign-in when you delete your account. Sessions are stored only as hashes.
  • What you create: topics, scripts, your choices and the rendered images, audio and video; credit records; purchase status checked with Apple or Google Play (never your payment details); push tokens if you allow notifications.
  • Photos you upload are processed on our GPU servers and the original is deleted as soon as the job ends. Results stay in your library until you delete them. Your photos are never used to train AI models.
  • Creator templates you share, with your display name, handle and avatar, become public once they pass automated checks (their text, and their example image and avatar checked by Anthropic's AI service). Anyone can report them; a template reported by two people is hidden automatically, and we act on reports. You can withdraw them at any time.
  • IP address: used in memory for rate limits and stored only as a keyed one-way hash to limit free credits per network.
  • Ads: free users see Google AdMob ads, following your iPhone tracking choice and Google's consent message where the law requires it.
  • Processors: Anthropic (scripts, and safety checks of text and shared images), Google (text-to-speech, AdMob, Sign-In, Play, Firebase Cloud Messaging), Apple (sign-in, purchases, notifications), RunPod (GPU rendering) and Amazon Web Services (servers and files). No third-party analytics.

RioSport Tennis: Live Scores

  • Without an account: a random device ID for notifications, with your push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), platform, language and time zone, and the players and matches you follow with your alert choices.
  • Live Activities: the Live Activity token for a match, deleted when the match ends.
  • Optional sign-in with Apple or Google: your account ID, email address, name, chat nickname, favourite player and synced follows.
  • Chat: messages, photos and reactions you post are public to other fans and deleted after 7 days. Photo metadata (such as location) is removed before upload.
  • Polls: votes are counted per random install ID.
  • Ads: Google AdMob native ads, with Google's consent message in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. The app does not ask to track you on iPhone.
  • No purchases. Translation runs on your device (Google ML Kit).
  • Processors: Firebase, Google AdMob, our live tennis data provider, GIPHY (GIF search) and YouTube (video highlights). Our servers run on Amazon Web Services in Singapore.

RioSport Football

  • Without an account: a random device ID for notifications, with your push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), platform, language and time zone, and the teams and matches you follow with your alert choices.
  • Live Activities: the Live Activity token for a match, deleted when the match ends.
  • Optional sign-in with Apple or Google: your account ID, email address, name, chat nickname and synced follows.
  • Predictions: your score predictions and points, shown on leaderboards with your nickname.
  • Chat: messages, photos and reactions you post are public to other fans and deleted after 7 days. Photo metadata is removed before upload.
  • Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): device model, OS and app version and what went wrong.
  • Ads: Google AdMob. On iPhone ads are personalised only if you allow tracking; in the EEA and UK Google's consent message applies, which you can change in Settings → Privacy choices.
  • Processors: Firebase, Google AdMob, our football data provider and GIPHY. Our servers run on Amazon Web Services in Singapore.

RioTalk

  • Speech-to-text runs on your device. Your audio is not uploaded for recognition.
  • Roleplay (Pro): the text of the conversation is sent through our server to an AI provider to write the replies. It is not stored or logged by us and not used to train AI models.
  • Natural voice: text is turned into speech by an AI text-to-speech service and the audio is cached.
  • IP address: used for rate limits, not stored.
  • Subscriptions: your App Store purchase is verified on our server. We never see your payment details.
  • Optional sign-in: an anonymous provider ID, your display name, age range, avatar colour, league opt-in and XP. RioTalk does not store your email address.
  • Community sharing (adults only): text and recordings of your own voice that you choose to share, which are moderated.
  • Ads: free users see non-personalised Google AdMob ads.

RioPDF Tools

  • Your documents stay on your device. We do not run a cloud storage service for them.
  • Analytics and crash reports: device type, OS and app version and crash logs, never the contents of your documents.
  • Optional AI features send the text excerpts you choose to an AI provider to produce the result.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple; we only learn whether features are unlocked.
  • Support: the emails you send us.
  • RioPDF Tools is not for children under 13. Nothing is sold.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Community features are for adults where an app says so. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent where we rely on it, by emailing info@rioreply.app. If you are in Canada, we handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where it applies. If you are in the EEA, UK or another region with its own privacy law, you have the rights that law gives you, including complaining to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Rio Reply is based in Canada. Our servers and service providers operate in other countries too (for example the RioSport apps' servers run on Amazon Web Services in Singapore), so your information may be processed outside your country, with the protections the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep information while you use an app and delete it when you delete your account or ask us to, except for short periods each app's section describes (for example chat messages after 7 days) and minimal records the law requires or that stop abuse.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Material changes will also be shown in the affected app.
